Restaurants and Patrons have a unique relationship.  It's a give and take on both sides.  Chefs cook amazing meals straight from the heart.  Patrons consume them, and then tell their friends about the restaurant.  Word of Mouth is still the best form of advertising for restaurateurs.

The idea of teaching one of your favorite or popular meals to your loyal patrons (who want you to stay open for business) is an idea of bringing this relationship even closer together.  Like any artist, I'm sure you are always trying to create... be it another beautiful meal to add to your menu, or an entirely new menu.  Speaking for myself, on a Friday night just coming home from work, we're tired and don't feel like cooking and can't stop thinking about that favorite meal down at our local restaurant that we want to treat ourselves to!  Occasionally to find out that once we arrive it has been taken off the menu!  Now don't get me wrong, we love the new menu and are open-minded, but much like a patron of beautiful art can rarely afford the original, we are grateful that we can at least buy a print. Buying a video of you making your dish will be a win-win for you and your patrons. Knowing a few of your recipes, is not going to stop us from still going out to eat.  After all, we also go for the social aspect, your staff's personality and professionalism and kindness, and we just aren't as good at it as you.

Speaking to you as an entrepreneur, I learned when I owned and operated Lazy day Raft Rentals, everyone has two $20.00 bills to improve their life for a day.  And the name of the game was volume.

When you build and design your course for 1 meal (or 2 or 3) you've done it once and the cost of that meal in the restaurant is anywhere from $17 - $40.00 which is sold once many many times to individuals (exchanging your time for money with huge overhead).  But recording a video once for Tasty Kitchen, it can be sold over and over again, essentially compounding your investment of time.

Just one meal video can produce 10X or more effect in your wallet.  It's 10X the volume and can be sold to people that do not even know about your restaurant's physical location.  Remember, word of mouth is your best form of advertising.  If one of your local patrons learns how to cook their favorite meal (your recipe), when they're asked by a friend, "WOW, were did you learn to cook that?"  Guess what they'll say?  Win-win-win.
